New Year's Resolutions vs. New Year's Resolve

I did the unthinkable on Sunday, January 3rd: I joined the local gym. This is a major step for me, as I have a true aversion to anything remotely exercise-oriented. But a gym is opening so close to my house and it's so affordable... there was just no way out of it this time.

So as per my usual, I was totally overwhelmed by the holidays. My holiday season kicked off with the two craft shows in early December and ended on December 29th, when I returned back from vacationing with family in North Carolina. The visit was so lovely! BUT, I returned feeling very behind and overwhelmed having been away so long on top of having been so preoccupied with preparing for the holidays prior to that.

I'm finally getting back on track, tho'and I have a bunch of notes and sketches of new pieces I can't wait to make -- I hope to have some photos for you soon!!! In the meantime, here is a very fuzzy video that I took with my phone of Dexter playing with his kitten sister, Frida. That blur that keeps flashing in front of the camera is Dexter, by the way ;)
