I <3 Isabella Rossellini...

Right now, I'm a little bit sad that I don't have the Sundance Channel. I had heard about this upcoming show that Isabella Rossellini was doing, re-enacting the seemingly unorthodox reproductive methods of various types of insects... & then, as per my usual, I forgot all about it. That is, until I found this on YouTube:

I was able to find almost all 8 of the short films in this Sundance series on YouTube!!! Thank you, YouTube! These are so imaginitive & so well done & totally strange & completely wonderful. I LOVE THEM!!! And I absolutely can't wait to see what she does with sea creatures...

Having all four wisdom teeth removed at the same time is about as much fun as... oh, I don't know, a barrel of dead monkeys?

Well, I think this photo sums it up pretty well. This was taken by my husband on day #2 post-op. And believe it or not, my face actually got even bigger than this. I was expecting some stretch marks at one point, but fortunately I was spared & have now finally returned to my normal cheek size. Whew!

I am happy to report I am almost all better & back to normal now & my apologies for taking so long to post!!! I hope my readers are all doing well & for those of you in the northeast, I hope you're all enjoying the amazing weather we're having this weekend -- yay!!!

Wow! Look at all of my amazingly talented friends on my VeganEtsy Team:

I Have a New Title (drum roll please!)

I am now, officially, the Style & Beauty Editor for VWOM!!! Check it out! I am so excited about this -- I get giddy every time I think about it :D

I already have my first op-ed flushed out (it's a product review -- but I'm not revealing any more than that!) & fact-checked the product with the manufacturer to make sure it is 100% vegan & that the company is a responsible one. My goal is to get it all typed up this weekend!

Now before I get too self-congratulatory & "oooo, look at me," I should also point out that I am failing miserably at making something attractive out of a styrofoam head. It seems that, in this case anyway, you get what you pay for. And I got a $5 wig stand... My last ditch effort to save it (or possibly just me lashing out in frustration) involved grabbing a tub of pink wood putty (it turns white when it dries, supposedly) & frantically smearing it all around. The theory is that once it has dried, since it's supposed to be "easy to sand," I will be able to smooth out all the mummy-like stripes & bumps I created with my heinous attempt at papier maché (which may be a great technique for piñatas, but apparently not-so-great for anything remotely professional looking...)

Project Runway is NOT down for the count...

Project Runway will be back this summer, but it will be airing on Lifetime instead of Bravo:

Oh how I miss the 2nd season, tho'....

(warning: those of you who might be easily offended or are sensitive in nature should probably not press the play button!)
