The trip to the post office on a Saturday is usually an unwelcomed chore. But yesterday was completely different. For one thing, I had a surprise from my good friend Melissa waiting for me. And secondly, I also had my very first pair of Vegan Wares boots, fresh from Australia waiting for me as well. Plus I had unbelievably gorgeous weather & the accompaniment of my two favorite guys, my sweet, sweet husband Brad & my feisty-fresh little puppy, Dexter.
The surprise from Melissa was an assortment of truffles & bonbons from Lagusta's Luscious!!! How lucky am I? Let me tell you: VERY. Those are hands-down THE MOST delicious vegan chocolates I've ever tasted. This is a photo from their website (I already devoured half of them, so I won't be taking any photos myself, but trust me, they really did look this good.) I received a box of raspberries de pizan bonbons & the fruity box of truffles. I really can't say which one was more delicious. It's something you've just got to try for yourself...
And my boots! I can't really claim luck here, because I did buy them for myself, but I had no idea how amazing they would be with their vibram soles & sturdy-yet-lightweight uppers. The fit is AMAZING. I've only worn them around the house so far, but I can't wait to hit the road with these things. Not only are they the coolest boots I've ever owned, but they were made-to-order: custom fit! They did take a little while longer than I'd anticipated, but they were well-worth the wait. My husband is totally jealous & wants to order a pair for himself. Yay for my new rockin' vegan boots!!!

Wow, it was a good day to be you! You know, I am surprised that more shoe manufacturers-Vegan or otherwise-don't offer custom fit options. It would be worth paying a little more to me to ensure a comfortable fit. Well, I'm sure the candy is gone, but enjoy your boots!
Yay! That was a good day, indeed! As you guessed, the chocolates are long gone. Between me & Brad, sweets don't live in our house for very long. I'm wearing my boots right now, though & I think all shoes will pale in comparison from this point forward...
